Volunteers

We welcome volunteers for registration, water stops and more! Please contact today!

If you are interested in volunteering at all other SS events email us at tim@seashorestrider.com, or drop by race morning 30 minutes before race day registration opens. Volunteer assignments can be arranged in groups if requested. All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and refreshment will be provided at awards ceremony. Volunteer coordinator, will contact you and provide additional details.. I can't thank you enough.

Volunteer Information, Q&A

When do I check in?
Volunteer orientation and check in is 30 minutes before race day registration begins (i.e. if registration opens at 6:30am, please arrive at 6:00am for instruction and setup)

How long will I be volunteering?
Race day volunteer shifts are typically two to three hours.

Do volunteers receive a volunteer shirt?
As a thank you for volunteering – volunteers will receive a technical event shirt.

Can I race & volunteer?
If you are planning to participant in the race we welcome you to volunteer at registration/packet pick--‐up. As for volunteering on race day – enjoy the race don’t worry about volunteering.

Is there an age requirement?
Volunteers must be 14 years old or older, or accompanied by an adult.

What to Bring:

  • Dress to work outdoors, jacket for the mornings
  • Comfortable shoes

What are the Volunteer Opportunities?

  • Registration and Packet pick-up Table Sunday (set up 6:30 AM, 7:00-7:55AM)
  • Refreshment area set-up
  • Lead bike or gator
  • Helping the timers at the finish line assist
  • Water Table volunteers stationed at course intersections to cheer on, ensure participants have water.
  • Course Marshals - Course intersections to cheer on and direct runners
