JOIN THE IRISH EYES FAMILY FOR A FUN THANKSGIVING MORNING IN LEWES AT THE 2ND FRIENDSGIVING 5K RUN/WALK.  PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE HOME OF THE BRAVE TOYS FOR TOTS PROGRAM.  THE RACE WILL BE IN HONOR OF THE LATE DON JOHNSON, LONGTIME IRISH EYES BARTENDER.

 

The History...Irish Eyes, under the direction of Host's Tom & Charlene Jones, have  hosted a Thanksgiving morning 5k from their Lewes Irish Eyes location dating back 10-15 years.  The event was not held in 2022 and Irish Eyes changed production Companies and the Race Director.  In 2023 on Thanksgiving Day,  the event was named the 1st Friendsgiving 5k Run/Walk in honor of longtime bartender Don Johnson, who passed away earlier that year on July 28, 2023.  The first annual event was a huge success with 444 finishers produced by the Seashore Strider Event Production Team.  Irish Eyes did not host an event the following year in 2024.  This year Irish Eyes brings back the Friendsgiving 5k for the 2nd annual and their traditional run/walk event on Thanksgiving morning.

  • LONG SLEEVE T-SHIRTS, cool custom awards, kids little gobble dash, water stop at the halfway mark, great fast & flat course & a great Irish Eyes post-race celebration. 
Awards
  • 5k Race
    • Custom awards will be presented to the Overall, Master and the top three finishers in the following 10 age groups:
      • 9 & U, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
  • Awards that are not picked up at the race can also will be available to be picked up during the week locally as well.   Contact [email protected] to arrange a pickup if you miss the awards ceremony.  Seashore Striders will mail "Out of Town" awards by receiving a check for $10 to cover postage.
  • NO Awards for the 5k Virtual Event
Results
  • Seashore Strider Event Production will chip time the 5k event using the Chronotrack B chip timing system.
