USE OF WETSUITS: ★ Just updated ★ The use of wetsuits is regarded by the sport of triathlon and USA Triathlon as a safety issue. The rule is that the use of such is prohibited if the water temp exceeds 78 degrees F or above. Thus the use of wetsuits is allowed if the water temp is 78 F or below. Yes it has been expressed that such use can be an advantage to those who may be weaker swimmers. At the same time it can be argued that all can benefit. Wetsuits has been a key to enhanced water safety for all, so in our case with Sundance Land & Sea- they will be allowed based on race-day water temperature. In the end if you are not fit enough and have not trained properly, then you risk much more!! SAFETY ★ Just updated ★ Lifegaurds will be out in force for the Sundance Land & Sea. Thanks Captain Buckson and the Rehoboth Beach life gaurds. [img_assist|nid=1188|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=223|height=84] |
