THE 2nd ANNUAL
SANDHILL SEASHORE CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL
Hosted by: Sandhill Fields Produced by: The Seashore Striders
(home of the 2021 Sussex County Championships)
Friday, October 21, 2022
The Sandhill Cross Country Course became a reality in 2020 and we are proud of what we have to offer Sussex County and the State of Delaware. We have hosted several dual meets on the course as well as the 2020 Sussex County Championships (Oct. 2020) and most recently over 200 runners at a dual meet Henlopen Classic (Sept. 2021). The opening mile is very spectator friendly with the mile mark just about even to the start. The second mile heads back to the woods and the beautiful 13’ raised fast boardwalk. Just before the third mile the course takes in a small incline and the final mile is flat & fast. The final 400m is out in the open and spectator friendly with a smooth rounded turn around the pavilion and into the finish chute. We are proud of the course and invite you to take part in our invitational and experience the Sandhill 5000-meter experience.
Yours in Running & Racing,
Coach Tim Bamforth; Seashore Striders/Cape Henlopen Girls Track & Field
