Who's a fool?
The 15th annual April Fools Day run was held Sunday, March 29, at Cape Henlopen State Park as runners were told that they would start the race with their hand on their car in the parking lot of the fishing pier.
The small field of 50 runners headed to the beach where they tackled a quarter-mile of soft sand before tackling the hills of the bike path. From the bike path they hit the dunes and headed toward Herring Point for some cross-country trail action. A water stop at Fort Miles energized the legs a bit for the parade ground quarter-mile sprint to the finish. The course advertised as 2-5 miles was measured to be 4.99 miles.
