Description:

Sunday, April 18, at 9 a.m. – Run for Education 5K/10K – Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes. The Run for Education is a partnership between the Cape Henlopen Educational Foundation (CHEF) and the Seashore Striders Race Productions. Sponsors of the event are Buck Simpers Architect & Associates Inc., EdiS Corp. and Delcard Associates.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the track of the high school. USE SAVANNAH ROAD     Proceeds of the event will help fund teacher minigrants. Last October a total of $3,500 in awards ranging from $100 to $500 was awarded to Cape teachers for special interests or projects benefiting hundreds of students in Cape district classrooms.

$15 5k pre-reg. through 4/16/10

$20 10k pre-registration through 4/16/10

$20 5k race day reg. from 8:00 – 8:50 am

$25 10k race day reg. from 8:00-8:50 am

$10 fee for 1 mile walk

Awards:

Presented to the male/female 5k & 10K Overall and Master Champions as well as the top three finishers in seven 10k age groups from 19 & U to 70 & over and nine 5k age groups from 9 & U to 70 & O.

Amenities:

T-shirts guaranteed to all pre-registered runners and walkers, water stop and refreshments provided, timing and finish line by Seashore Striders Race Productions. Post race award ceremony at Cape Henlopen High School.
